Mutha FM started broadcasting in South Africa in 2004 as a small underground radio station showcasing a collective of Cape Towns DJs from various genres. It was started to give listeners another option for musical entertainment besides the large commercial stations which play tracks pushed by record companies to increase sales.
Mutha FM is aptly named as it represents the Mother City of Cape Town and all its musical creativity. The shows represent a wide variety of genres.
Mutha broadcasts daily from 6pm – 12am on http://www.muthafm.com
